M/S TAXIARCHIS

M/S TAXIARCHIS is a traditional greek fishing boat (trechantiri), built in 1951. Trechantiri is the ideal boat for the greek sea. It combines the excellent sailing in every kind of weather with the convenience of a modern yacht. 

 

The ship was rebuilt in 1988 and transformed from a fishing boat to a yacht. In 2015 a renovation of the boat was made. Part of the equipment changed so that it can comply with the international safety requirements.

 

The teak and iroko wood, as well as the bronze constitute the main construction materials. All of the above contribute to the revival of the greek nautical tradition and they place TAXIARCHIS among the few traditional greek boats that still exist.
